Ascension Bay Fly Fishing

Ascension Bay is a world-renowned flats fishery known especially for its year-round permit and bonefish opportunities. Its expansive shallow flats, lagoons and mangrove-lined waters also hold tarpon and snook, giving anglers the chance to pursue all four of the Riviera Maya’s primary flats species.

Isla Blanca Fly Fishing

Located north of Cancun, Isla Blanca is a diverse shallow-water fishery with expansive flats, mangrove shorelines, lagoons and backcountry waters. Tarpon and snook are available year-round, while permit are another major target, particularly during the spring and summer months.

Cancun Lagoon Fly Fishing

Located beside Cancun’s Hotel Zone, the Nichupté Lagoon system offers convenient access to protected flats, mangrove shorelines, channels and backcountry waters. Tarpon and snook are the primary targets and are available year-round, with occasional opportunities for bonefish and permit.
